I thought about writing this whole “year in review” for 2011. In fact, I did write it. I named my year “Tears, Beers, and Cheers” for obvious reasons. It had all of the above…and pretty much in that order. 

But then I deleted it because I discovered that while this year was both volatile and wonderful, looking back only made it harder to look forward. By no means would I ever want to relive 2011, so why have you relive it through my words? It was a weird year. It was a sad year. It was a year of discovery. It was a GREAT, BIG year.

But it was just a year. 

Last year at this time I didn’t expect to be where I am now. I’m sure a year from today I’ll be looking back thinking the same exact thing.

Hopefully next year’s title will be named “Money, Funny, and Sunny.”
